5 Reasons to Get Rid of Unnecessary Junk in Your Studio!
Once you learn to paint and have a space dedicated for painting or as a painting studio it can very quickly become full to overflowing with all kinds of things. Yes, some people do feel comfortable with a lot of stuff around but here are 5 reasons for getting rid of the unnecessary junk in your studio!
- First of all it takes up valuable space! Floor space, storage space, and table space are all valuable in a studio. And if you are too crowded accidents can happen more easily – tripping, spilling and knocking things over can all be disastrous.
- Too much stuff and we ultimately waste time searching through it all when we need things. Besides wasting our time it can be very frustrating.
- Unnecessary junk is distracting! When we are distracted it is hard to concentrate and hard to buckle down to what we want to accomplish.
- Too much junk is not inviting… you need a studio that beckons you and inspires you to paint!
- It’s true that one person’s junk is another person’s treasure… someone else may actually use that stuff you don’t use, changed your mind about, or simply collected for some now unknown reason! You might try having a yard sale or even consider donating unused items to schools, camps or other programs for youth. There are many places that would welcome a donation that included any kind of art supplies.
Once you’ve made more room in your studio you might find you have room for a laptop computer, tablet or iPad that you could set up so that you could take an online painting class right there in your own studio! You might even be able to pay for the laptop and the class with the proceeds from your yard sale! Oops… I think that just made 6 or 7 reasons!
